In September 2020, amid the Bollywood drug row, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) summoned Rakul Preet Singh and several other Bollywood celebrities, including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Simone, Khmabatta, and Manu Mantena for questioning them. The investigation by the NCB was started in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.
In 2014, Rakul debuted in a starring part in Bollywood with Divya Kumar's managerial debut Yaariyan, after which her third Tamil film Yennamo Yedho released. Bymid-2014, Rakul was working on three Telugu flicks contemporaneously, which were directed by Sriwass, G. Nageswara Reddy, and Gopichand Malineni. Sriwass's Loukyam andG. Nageswara Reddy's Current Theega were her coming releases. She entered positive reviews for her performances in both flicks, with 123Telugu claiming that she was" sluggishly getting a star actress".
She entered her alternate Stylish Actress nomination at 62nd Filmfare Awards South. Her coming released film was Pandaga Chesko in which she was starred contrary Ram Pothineni and directed by Gopichand Malineni.
In early March 2016 Rakul inked Gopichand Malineni's film Winner starring with Sai Dharam Tej for the first time. In early July 2016, she inked to AR Murugadoss'bilingual film contrary to Mahesh Babu, named Spyder. In September 2016 she inked another Telugu film named Rarandoi Veduka Chudham directed by Kalyan Krishna starring contrary Naga Chaitanya. The movie was released on 26 May which was a huge blockbuster.
